The folder-prefix rule, handled.

Jellyfin groups versions of a movie only when they share one folder and each file name starts with that folder's exact name. The Jellyfin preset names every version that way.

  • Versions as Title (Year) - Director's Cut.mkv beside Title (Year).mkv, in one folder.
  • Season art inside each season folder: poster.jpg, banner.jpg and fanart.jpg.
  • Collections written as <set tmdbcolid="…">, the only place Jellyfin reads a collection's TMDb ID.
  • Jellyfin-style IDs such as [tmdbid-603] and [imdbid-tt0133093] in names are read and looked up directly.

What it fixes for Jellyfin.

  • Versions split into two titles

    A file name that doesn't start with its folder's name is the usual cause. MetaTana renames it to the prefix rule, with Undo.

  • Mixed ID styles

    MetaTana reads both {tmdb-603} and [tmdbid-603] in names, so a library first named for Plex still matches.

  • Wrong matches

    Every file gets a confidence word: Good, Fair or Weak. Good matches file themselves. The rest wait in the Inbox with the reason.
