Website advertising privacy
This notice covers optional advertising cookies on metatana.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy. It is separate from sharing usage data in the MetaTana app.
Privacy choices
When you arrive from one of our ads, we ask once whether to accept optional cookies. Each service stays off unless you have allowed it. Earlier choices for individual services stay in place until you make a new choice here. One choice covers Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Microsoft Advertising, and we remember it in this browser. You can use the site and MetaTana fully if you reject them.
This choice covers optional advertising cookies from Google, Meta and Microsoft, and saving a campaign source with a new MetaTana account.
No choice is saved in this browser. Optional cookies stay off unless you accept them.
What these services receive
If you accept, each service can receive your IP address, browser details, the address of the public page you are on, its ad click identifier, and events for page visits and clicks on installer, Start Pro and server install guide links. Microsoft Advertising measures page visits and installer clicks. These events record clicks. They do not show that a download finished, or that you installed MetaTana, created an account or paid.
The services can set advertising cookies in your browser, such as _gcl_au (Google), _fbp and _fbc (Meta), and _uetsid and _uetvid (Microsoft).
We do not send media files, library contents, local file paths, email addresses or account details. Automatic event collection, automatic advanced matching and enhanced conversions are off, and Google ad personalization signals are off. We do not load these tags or send events from sign-in, account, checkout, device-link or support pages. We have not connected customer lists or server-side purchase events.
Each service handles data under its own policy: the Google Privacy Policy, the Meta Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. They may process it outside your country and use it to measure advertising.
Our campaign report
Accept also lets MetaTana save the first public page you visited, the referring website and any campaign labels in this browser. If you create an account in the same browser, we save that source with the new account. We do not replace the source of an existing account. Using email inside the app, a different browser or a different device may leave the source unknown.
Our private dashboard groups accounts by that source and counts app sign-ins and recorded Pro payments. It also counts first scans and first matches for accounts with usage sharing on in the app. These account and product counts are not sent to the advertising services. An app sign-in is not proof that an installer finished, and a click is not a sale.
Turn them off
Choose Reject above, or open Privacy choices in the footer of any page. This stops future measurement from this browser, clears its saved campaign source and clears these services' cookies on this website. It cannot remove events already sent or a source already saved with an account. Other browsers and devices keep their own choices. Contact support@watari.dev for privacy requests.
