FAQ

What NFO format does MetaTana write for Kodi?

Kodi's own format, which is the default: movie, tvshow, season and episodedetails NFO files with provider IDs in uniqueid tags, plus artwork, cast headshots and set artwork under the names Kodi reads.

Will it overwrite NFO files I wrote by hand?

MetaTana reads them on every scan, so the IDs in them pin the match. When it replaces an NFO file, the old copy goes to the trash folder in that library for 30 days and Undo can put it back.

Does MetaTana replace Kodi?

No. Kodi stays your server and player, and MetaTana is not affiliated with Kodi. MetaTana prepares the files on disk and asks Kodi to refresh.

Do I need Pro for Kodi NFO?
