For Infuse users
Give Infuse a library you have checked.
Use MetaTana to scrape and review titles, years and file names before your player reads them. For Infuse connected to Plex, Emby or Jellyfin, prepare the library for that server.

Start with how Infuse gets your files.
Through a media server
Infuse takes metadata from Plex, Emby or Jellyfin in both Direct Mode and Library Mode. Correct the server's item first, then refresh it in Infuse.
From a folder or network share
Review titles, years and episode names in MetaTana. Infuse has its own local metadata and artwork rules, so check one title in the player before applying changes to the rest.
Try MetaTana on one folder.
Choose the folder
Use a small library folder. Set Rename files in this folder to Ask first or Never while you review it.
Scrape and review
Free scraping uses your own free TMDb API key. Pro includes hosted metadata without a key. Check the title and year, and review uncertain matches in the Inbox.
Check the player
If you use a server, choose its MetaTana preset and check the corrected item there first. With a direct share, check the name and any local files against Firecore's guide.
Know the local-file limits.
- Infuse supports common movie NFO tags with a matching video filename. Its local metadata option must be enabled.
- Local TV metadata does not organize and group episodes in Infuse. Use supported episode naming and metadata fetching.
- Artwork names differ. MetaTana has no dedicated Infuse artwork preset; some files need manual naming. UPnP/DLNA does not support these local overrides.
- MetaTana has no direct Infuse connection or watched-state sync. Use its supported media-server connections when that fits your setup.
Follow the guide for your setup.
FAQ
Does MetaTana replace Infuse?
No. Keep watching in Infuse. MetaTana is a separate desktop or Docker media manager for the files and metadata in your library. MetaTana is not affiliated with Firecore or Infuse.
Can I install MetaTana on Apple TV?
No. MetaTana runs on Windows, Linux, Apple silicon Macs or in Docker. It manages the library that your player or server can access.
Do I need Pro?
Free includes scraping with your own TMDb API key, metadata editing, naming, NFO and artwork. Pro includes hosted metadata without a key and AI Vision for hard matches. Check the connection limits above before choosing a workflow.
