Pages

MetaTana has six pages in the sidebar: Home, Library, Inbox, Folders, Sync, and Activity. Settings and Help sit at the bottom. Each page has one job, and this section has one reference page for each, in sidebar order.

Home What came in and when, the folders MetaTana watches, the Inbox card with what waits for you, the Problems card when something needs fixing, and today's titles.
Open →
Library Every filed title, with type tabs, sort, filter chips, Needs attention, More filters, search, and Browse by (Saved, Collections, People, Tags, Editions, Stats). Titles, shows, and people open as their own pages.
Open →
Inbox The decisions only you can make: new files, matches to pick, duplicates, renames, files to write, match review, and Scrape sessions, with All arrivals and the duplicate tools behind them.
Open →
Folders The folders MetaTana watches, how files are named, where sorted files go, and the routing rules that pick a destination.
Open →
Sync Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, Kodi, and Trakt: sync now, review differences, reconnect, and each server's settings.
Open →
Activity What is running now and everything that ran: filed titles, fetches, renames, sync runs, tool runs, and problems, with Undo and Retry where they apply.
Open →
Settings Five sections: General, Account, Providers, Files, and Maintenance, including Library health, backups, and tools.
Open →
Help Guides, your support reports and their replies, update status, keyboard shortcuts, and licences.

Updating from 1.x? Upgrading to 2.0 lists where each old page went. Old links open the new place.

Getting around

Every place that is not in the sidebar, including each Settings group, is in ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux) under Go to.

Library shows how many titles you have and Inbox shows how many decisions are waiting. Folders, Sync and Activity show an amber dot when something needs a look and a red dot when something failed. The top bar shows how many jobs are running; select it to open Activity.

⌘K is Search or ask. Type a title to find it, or type a question such as "crime films from the 90s" and pick Ask to search with AI. Ask lists the matching titles and Show in Library opens them as a filtered list. Ask needs Pro; on Free, picking it opens the upgrade drawer. If no AI key is set up, Ask says so and links to Settings. ⌘K also has Add folder, which opens the Add folder dialog.

The pattern

Every page follows the same rules:

  • One library database: no page keeps its own copy of the data, so a change made on one page shows on the others.
  • Preview before write: changes show what would happen before they happen.
  • Activity records everything: every action becomes a row you can look up, and many can be undone.
  • Phones get the same controls: every main control stays large enough to tap at 320px wide.

That's why scrape changes, rename previews, sync differences, and bulk actions all work the same way: preview, apply, then a row in Activity.
