Home

Home is the first page in the sidebar. It says what came in and when, what waits for you, and what needs fixing, each with one action. Press G then H to open it from anywhere.

First start

On a fresh install with no folders, Home shows one card: Add your first folder. Choose a folder opens the folder picker, then the Add folder screen with the same choices as Add folder on Folders. I use tinyMediaManager opens the importer in place. Advanced lists what can wait until you need it: Import existing setup, Destinations & routing, Provider order, and More provider keys. Removing your last folder later keeps its titles, so Home stays as it is while any titles are left.

The top

The title states the latest fact about your library, for example "23 new titles filed at 14:02", "4 titles filed this week", or "Last title filed 3 Oct". Below it, each line has at most one action:

  • Fetch artwork when titles are missing artwork. It runs the same fetch as the Library's Missing artwork filter.
  • Watching names the folders MetaTana watches (the first two, then "and N more"), with Add folder.
  • Matching with your TMDb key, on Free with your own key, with Keys to open Settings › Providers › Your keys.
  • Improve matches, when titles are still unscraped: the count and what to do next, such as Fix episodes when titles wait on episode numbers, Check TMDb key when a saved key is not working, or Add TMDb key and See Pro plans when no metadata provider is set up.

If the library can't be read, the title says Couldn't load the library with Retry.

Notices

A notice shows once, below the top, until you act on it:

  • Existing library, after the first scan of a folder that trusts its NFOs: how many titles were identified from their NFO, how much watched state was read, what is still missing, and how many metadata API calls the scan made. See Migrate from tinyMediaManager.
  • Preview only is on, so Autopilot changes no files, with Turn off Preview only and Keep it on. See Scanning and matching.
  • Autopilot is off for a folder, with Turn on for all and Not now.
  • The Autopilot receipt after a run, with Undo this run.
  • Some files may be missing from the library, when an earlier database upgrade may have missed some files, with Rescan all and Dismiss.

Inbox card

The Inbox card lists each kind of decision waiting (New, Pick, Review, Duplicate, Scrape session, Files to write, Rename) with a count and up to two of the titles, for example "Northern Static, Ashes of Iron and 2 more", and one Review Inbox button. Each row opens its tab in the Inbox. N ignored at the top opens what you set aside. On Free, the Pick row adds AI Vision picks from frames with See Pro.

When nothing waits, the card says Nothing waiting. If one of its counts can't be read, the card says Some counts are unavailable and offers Retry instead of showing zero.

Problems card

The Problems card lists things that need fixing, each with one action:

Other problems link to the page that handles them. The card is hidden when nothing is wrong. The same problems show as amber or red dots next to Folders, Sync, and Activity in the sidebar.

Today

Today shows the titles that came in today as posters (Recently added when nothing came in today), with See all to open the Library.

Library totals are under Library › Browse by › Stats, unscraped titles are the Unscraped chip in the Library, and recent renames are in Activity › Show › Renames.
