Help
Help sits at the bottom of the sidebar, below Settings. It has guides, your support reports and their replies, update status, and the keyboard shortcuts. Press ? on any page to open it at the shortcut list.
Guides
Search guides finds a guide by its title or a related word, such as "rename", "anime", or "plex". Press / to jump to the box. With nothing typed, Common guides lists six to start with: adding your first folder, rescraping a wrong match, reordering episodes, connecting Jellyfin or Plex, undoing a rename, and locking fields. Each guide opens its page in these docs. When no guide matches, Search the docs opens the docs.
Send a report
Send a report at the top opens the report form. Choose Bug, Question, or Idea, and fill in a Short title and Details; Steps, Expected, Impact, and Frequency help sort the queue. Include app details shows what it adds, such as the app version and platform, before you send. The form never sends logs, file paths, Activity data, screenshots, or attachments. Don't paste passwords, keys, or private file paths.
Sending from the app needs you to be signed in. In the desktop app, Help › Report a Bug in the menu bar opens the same form, and Send a report on an app error page opens it with the error filled in. Can't open the app? Use the same private form on the website at MetaTana Support.
Your reports
Your reports lists the reports you sent, each with when you sent it and its status. A report with a new answer shows New reply. Open a report to read the conversation, Write a reply, and choose which Email updates you get. When a fix ships, the report says which version it is in, for example Fixed in v2.0.1.
Updates
The line under the guide search shows the version you run and, in the desktop app, the update status: Up to date with when it last checked, Version N is available with Download, the download progress, then Version N is ready with Restart to update. MetaTana restarts only when you choose. Linux .deb and .rpm installs are updated by the package manager, so the line says Updates are managed outside MetaTana. See Desktop installation. Docker, Unraid, and TrueNAS installs update by pulling the new image; see Upgrading to 2.0.
Keyboard shortcuts

Data sources and licences
The bottom of Help names the metadata and subtitle sources MetaTana uses, with the TMDb notice. Licences lists the third-party software in the app.
