Credits And Billing
Skyhook AI features use MetaTana's hosted account and credit model.
Included Credits
Pro accounts include monthly AI credits. The website account page shows current plan, billing state, and available AI credits.
Purchased Credits
Active Pro users can buy additional AI credits through the website account:
- 250 Credit Pack: 250 credits for US$5.
- Large Library: 10,000 credits for US$99. Save US$101 compared with the 250-credit pack rate, about 51%.
Both are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, and do not renew automatically. Purchased credits do not expire while the hosted account exists. They remain available across billing periods, but can be used only while Pro is active. Prices are in US dollars and include GST or VAT where it applies. In the US, Canada and India, sales tax is added at checkout.
When Credits Are Used
AI Vision costs 1 credit per file each time it returns an answer, even when it can't name the title (a failed request costs nothing). Asking again about the same file is free. Ask AI, which picks among search results for a title, costs 1 credit per file, and an AI metadata translation costs 1 credit per translation.
Autopilot and other background runs never spend hosted AI credits. On Pro, AI Scrape runs when you ask for it, for example with AI Scrape on a Pick row in the Inbox. A title AI could not identify is not asked again for 30 days, unless you select Retry failed on its scrape session. Bulk AI Scrape in Library stops at once when you run out of credits; see Use AI Vision.
What Credits Are Not
AI credits are product usage credits. They are not cash, stored value, or a general payment balance.
Local Workflows
Local metadata workflows, local provider lookups, and local sidecar writes are not Skyhook AI credit operations.
Reading the local library, writing NFO files, fetching artwork, or using a provider with your own key never spends AI credits.
